Welcome to Memoria, a private photo and video sharing application developed by nextupfit. Memoria is built on two core experiences: Capsules (time-locked shared containers) and Albums(live two-person shared spaces). We believe your memories are private. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application (the "App").

Data Collected

When you use Memoria, we collect the following types of information to provide our services:

  • Account Information: Email address, username, display name, and an optional avatar image. Passwords are securely hashed.
  • User-Generated Media: Photos, videos, voice notes, and captions that you capture and upload into Capsules and Albums.
  • Social Interactions: Friend requests, block lists, reactions (emojis), and comments on memories.
  • Device & Notification Data: Push notification tokens (APNs/FCM) and basic device names to manage your active sessions and widget updates.
  • Purchase Information: Subscription status (via RevenueCat) to enforce plan limits. We do not store your raw payment details (e.g., credit card numbers).

How Data is Used

We use your data strictly to operate, maintain, and provide the features of Memoria:

Providing the Core Service: Your media is stored to facilitate the Capsule and Album sharing mechanics. Our systems enforce time-locks on Capsules, meaning we intentionally prevent access to certain media until specific unlock dates.

Account Security & Verification: Your email is used for sending One-Time Passwords (OTPs) during login and registration.

Notifications & Widgets: Push tokens are used to send you alerts (e.g., when a Capsule unlocks) and silent updates to keep your home screen widgets refreshed.

Service Analytics: We track aggregated, non-identifiable usage stats (like streak days or unlock counts) to maintain service health and enforce billing plan limits.

Data Security & Storage

We prioritize the security of your private memories. All media (photos, videos, voice notes) is uploaded directly from your device to private cloud buckets using short-lived, presigned URLs.Media is never accessible to the public internet.

Furthermore, Memoria provides a strict sealing guarantee: media placed in a locked Capsule cannot be viewed by anyone—including the server—until the predetermined unlock date is reached.

User Rights & Account Deletion

You retain full ownership of the content you upload to Memoria. You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time.
