Delete your Memoria account

We respect your privacy and give you full control over your data. If you no longer wish to use Memoria (developed by nextupfit), you can request the complete deletion of your account and associated data.

How to delete your account

Option 1: Directly inside the app (Recommended)

The fastest and easiest way to delete your account is directly within the Memoria mobile app. Navigate to your Account Settings and select Delete Account. Your request will be processed securely.

Option 2: Via Email Support

Alternatively, you can initiate the deletion of your account by sending an email to our support team from the email address associated with your Memoria account.

Please include your Memoria username in the body of the email to help us locate your account faster.

What data is deleted?

When your account is deleted, we permanently remove the following from our active systems:

  • Your profile information (username, display name, avatar, password hashes, and email address).
  • All media you have uploaded (photos, videos, and voice notes).
  • Your active sessions and push notification tokens.
  • Your friendships, blocks, reactions, and comments.
  • Any solo Capsules or Albums where you are the sole member will be disintegrated and permanently deleted.

What data is retained?

To ensure the experience of other users is not disrupted, the following data may be retained or anonymized:

  • Shared Content in Group Capsules: If you contributed media or comments to a group Capsule owned by someone else, that media remains in the Capsule for the remaining members to view. However, it will no longer be associated with your profile (your name/avatar will appear as an anonymized or deleted user).
  • Backup Archives: Your data may temporarily remain in secure, encrypted system backups (e.g., our 30-day database retention policy). These backups are automatically overwritten and destroyed within 30 days.
  • Financial Records: If you purchased a premium plan, anonymous transaction IDs provided by RevenueCat/App Stores may be retained for accounting and compliance purposes. We do not hold raw payment details.

Expected Deletion Time

Upon receiving your verifiable request, we will process your account deletion within 7 to 14 business days. Data stored in our automated backup systems will be fully purged within 30 days of the initial deletion.
